Fantastic place to stay, and the Hirsches are a huge part of that.

Amazing place - quite, nature is wonderful, firepits by many cabins, warm lake with a small private beach. In addition, you can rent the boat/kayak/canoe.

Camp Baker is a lovely place to relax in nature. The woman who runs the place, Rae, is kind and accommodating. The reservation system is completely old school - you call or email for your space. Don't expect any confirmation emails or details about your reservation and you won't be able to pick a cabin in advance- however don't worry once Rae confirms your reservation, she's will save that space for you! The cabins and grounds are clean and well kept. You'll get a basic cabin with simple spring bed frames and thin mattresses, a fire pit, there is a central bathroom/shower, and several garbage disposals and water hoses around the camp. This is a place for campers that want a step up from tent camping but still want to keep it low key. They offer meals if you don't want to grill your own food and they have a lifeguard on the lake during the day so it's a great place for families or anyone that wants some quiet time in nature without having to put in too much effort. If you're the type that's hooked on modern conveniences or expect high level customer service - this rustic place is not the place for you! But if you like to keep things simple - come to Baker Camp! I plan to be back!!

They got pedal bots and stuff but no motor. Nice clean lake. Amazing nature. Prices are great and parking is free.

Beautiful camp on the lake in the woods. Cabins are rustic though so be prepared for that! Lots of mosquitos in the room while you're sleeping (keep your doors closed!) and the mattresses sag quite a bit. Hiking trails need to be better marked. But the lake is beautiful! Great for swimming, fishing, and boating.
